I'm having some trouble with the chip starting up..
Its installed with a Wiiclip V2b.
Sometimes it takes about 30 seconds for the modchip to kick in.
After that everything is fine.
Could this be related to the clock wire?
Its possible to solder a alternate clock wire on the clip or just short a jumper.
Currently the jumper is shorted could the slow starting be a timing problem?

Damit, so no D2B soon? Don't get me wrong though, I like that it works now with D2C and D2C2, but I need some D2B support for the cut ones.
If you _need_ it for D2B pincut, you should change your job, sorry...

No problem! Useless because you knew that you do the wrong job?
Sorry, but if you are not able to install a wiikey, YAOSM or sth. on an D2B pincut wii, than you are not very good and that meens you shouldn't mod consoles.
I know people who aren't the best but they can do this. If someone earn money with that, of course they must be able to do that too.
But this is not my problem, it's the problem of your customers and I'll never see them. So it's okay for me...

well im afriad it has'nt fixed mine but made it worse
Pal machine, defo a D2C2....
now, with the beta 3 etc at first i did have issues,
but after a better placement of the chip so that the c/d wire is now VERY small
it DID boot every time, it was just that the eject in and out was very buggy, but once the disc was in all was good, would boot the game every time ..
Now ... beta 3.3 gave me a 'dead' drive didnt eject didnt spin up, nowt atall .. (only way to get me disc in/out was to hook up the programmer to disable chip!)
and once into the Wii menu, it just stayed there
and beta 3.4 / final 2.0, was the same as beta 3.3 were it gave a 'dead' drive, BUT it also crashed/made the Wii goto to the disc error screen straight off ..
putting beta 3, goes back to the booting with BAD eject issues ..
and just to note, i have Two Wiis (as in two wii's and two chips) doing the Eactly the same thing as listed above!!!

Using A3P125 chips and only firmware that works for me is 1.1 of which I haven't had a single problem with. My installs are perfect, no crossed wires, no crappy solder joints like some of the pics i've seen posted up either.
I usually don't ground wrap the C wire but for testing purposes I tried it once and didn't make a difference.
With my own Wii - LEH 182xxx D2C, 1.1 works fine, 2.0 results in dead drive that what I presume is just resetting constantly, i.e. start up noise flashing blue light, going off, repeat repeat etc
Also tried in a few D2C2 wii's and get dead drive too, had to replace chip with D2Pro's, for now i'll use up the final few Argons and stick to D2Pro's until the Argon2 chip is out and is fully stable.

Good work! Only one small issue with D2C2. There is a slight delay while you try to feed the disc into wii when the wii is red light stanby. Other than that the 3.4/1.5(2.0final) works FLAWLESS
5 PAL D2C2 Wii installs with 2.0Final = FLAWLESS
SSBB Copy/Orig = Works
SMG Copy/Orig = Works
Mario Kart Copy/Orig = Works
NTSC stuff = Works
Bravo!!!

Has anyone got this to work on a USA D2c2? When I ground the R wire the chip turns off, NO blue light.

Try soldering clock wire not to the pad but to the actual chipset leg. seems to work alot better, the trace from the leg to the pad is tiny and may cause problems.

had a bunch of argon chips left (i switched to d2pro, PERFECT) so i figure i'll try the 2.0 "final" firmware. tested it on two D2C drives, both of them gives me the Error message.
The Argon firmware is seriously flawed. I love the fact that you can install the d2pro on any d2c or d2c2 drive and you know it's going to work perfect. i don't know what i'm going to do with the 50 or so Argon chips i have left...
The only firmware that works for me is 1.1, of course this doesn't work with D2C2.
Another big complain that I have is that you can't freaking flash the SPI when the chip is installed, so you have to uninstall the chip, flash it and reinstall it. B.S.!
I've tested it only on US wiis.
INFECTUS, please do something about this.

Let me guess. You flash it on Pal system which do not require grounding R point correct?
