hello,

i would like to ask something of all the dutch guys here:

hallo,

So we have heard from many installer in the PAL region that says it works.
I am from the NTSC side of the world, has anyone had any luck at all with Modding a NTSC console with this firmware?

well im in PAL region, and i just cannot get it too work ...
completely dead with 3.3/3.4/final2 and okish with beta3 ( 'just' has real bad eject bug)

it would seem with 3.3/3.4/F2 it either works Great, or just does'nt work atall ...

anyone gone from a dead drive to have a working drive in Final 2, just by either diff chip placemenet or wire config ?

am also wondering if it has something to do with whats on the D connector side ?
as D does not go striaght to the main Actal chip (C pad does) but via some resistor/capacitors ..
maybe these are having diferent effects to the signal on diferent chips ?
as per quantronics post of the diferent numbers stamps on his chips ..
(of which none of mine match up !?)
If so could we somehow check this, and why is the D connected too ?

Mick ....

I would honestly say, the Argon is now better than the D2PRO.

How could it be better than D2PRO when no one could get it work on NTSC machines (I havn't read any claim of it working so far)? and no dvd update yet so really how do you come up with that conclusion? not trying to discredit the Infectus team but indeed I do appreciate their effort. The matter of fact is they are not up there yet as compared to other teams.

This is fair, I haven't done any NTSC D2C2 consoles...

I think there are faulty chips out there, I have a few 0644's in my batch which won't program unless installed into the wii, these ones just cause the drive to keep clicking and the blue light keeps resetting on and off. anyone else got any 0644's working? Not a big deal for me i'll just keep them for the 17 wire installs but thought it might help people.
