Hi,

I have a Wii PAL + Infectus (1.2beta).
When I insert SMG (original), the wii recognize the disc
then I insert a backup, the wii doesn't recognize the disc.

If I switch off the wii, then insert Wii Sports (original), the wii recognize the disc
(then +/- reset)
then I insert the same backup, the wii recognize the disc.

I have notice this bug  , two times.

1) Can anyone confirm this ?

2) Is there a way to "switch off" the infectus ?
I make an external interruptor that switch on/off the infectus 5v,
if it's on : infectus works great
if it's off : the drive doesn't work!
Can you help me ?

Thanks.

You have sure a problem of installation.

I think that your problem is on RST wire.

Can you check if the wire RST is connect on wii ?

Your switch on 5 volt can not working because if you leave the power on chip, the port (mnopqtuv) can be fixed to "0"

Sorry for my english

Hi,

What is the RST wire ?
I have connected the 13 wires (G, MNOPQ, TUV, AR) + 5v + GND.

Wire RST it's on infectus ?

"Your switch on 5 volt can not working because if you leave the power on chip, the port (mnopqtuv) can be fixed to "0""
is there a solution, switch on GND ?

Thank you for reply.

Hi,
You were right.
wire G seems to be connected with 6th & 7th(good one) legs.
wire V seems to be connected with 8th & 9th legs.
All others are ok!

1) I have to fix G only ? or G & V ?
2) Do you have a solution for my switch on 5v ?

Tnanks.

Hi ,

If you have a bad connection of wires, you must fix all bad wires !

The switch is impossible to connect on power of chip, but i can add on software of wiiktus one pad to disable the chip.
