how are you going to fix bricked wiis? replacing the flash with another doesn't seem to work, black screen.

btw, the ps3 diagram is so highly compressed that the letters are pretty much unreadable.. please fix that.

as I can see in the download area 0.0.3.3 has been released.. has anyone tried to change the firmware in a usa/japan/european to another region? would this work in order to change region of a ps3? probably doesn't work.. just wanted to see if anyone has tried.

the flash is very likely encrypted, so changing isn't possible.

Well I was mostly thinking of taking i.e. a full PAL firmware dump and write it to a NTSC console to make it PAL.. thought it most likely is something stopping this from working (except for hardware differences )

HI everyone,
I've been following this forum for I while waiting for a solution for my bricked wii. How's progress with the testing? Can we expect a solution any time soon?

like on the 360, the wii flash is encrypted on a per console basis. that means unless you had a backup of your flash BEFORE the bricking, or someone cracks the encryption, you can't fix it.

may be yes, may be not.

We are trying to reflash a nand with other bios. Unlucky there are bad blocks in the memory so is impossible to write the same datas in other devices.

We are not sure about an unique key like xbox360. Most parts of the bios are identical for all the wii.

When possible we'll try to swap the nand between two wii.

the nand is locked to a specific wii.
