Are you sure of this? I check the dump and the first part (boot or similar) is identical for all the wii. If really there is a internal key, all the bios must to be differents and not only a part (look xbox360 bios,  no one bios identical to others).

The bios is definately tied to the individual machine but as far as can be told withy limited dumps i believe it is only a few bytes that are locked & these may only become locked upon first initialisation of the wii - a lot more research needs to be carried out !

The bios is identical until 0x100000. After this, there are many parts ugual, but others different. If really is used an unique key, entire bios must to be different. We must to find one other working wii and swap the nand. Only after the swap , we really know if there is a key or other.

Have swopped the NAND between two consoles and it results in a black screen - however i dont believe the security is using either the OTP area or the unique device identity but to confirm this 100 % i need the HYNIX wii NAND support in INFECTUS as my usual chip programmer is destructive when dealing with NAND memories as i believe it activates the on chip ECC algorithms which fragment the data ! - However now have Infectus wired up to a ZIFF TSOP socket and all is working well on supported devices.

Sorry have not tried to read one in circuit but would try taking a 5 volt feed from USB and regulating it with a 3.3v voltage regulator and adding a feed to pins 12 or 37 (or both) - USE THICKER wire ! - Perhaps a good thing for any future versions of INFECTUS would be to add a 3.3 volt regulator to supply a 3.3v feed as this would be most handy - remember to power the chip before the INFECTUS - for this i powered from a seperate USB port (SAME PC) or tie the grounds . The 3.3 volt regulator was one from a 360 mainboard but can easily be sourced . there is a voltage regulator on the wii board but will probly power too much of the circuitry.
