BIG NEWS ON ARGON / INFECTUS

Dear customers,
we’re glad to announce interesting news about INFECTUS and ARGON. Here’s STEP by STEP all the news:

1- ARGON FIRMWARE 1.3 BETA TESTING: the new 1.3 firmware fixes the freezing issues found on the 1.0 ARGON’s version and allows THE IMPORT GAMES TO BE PLAYED ON YOUR OWN CONSOLE!! By adding just 3 wires to the installation, ARGON will be able to correctly load the multi-region patch. Remember that those 3 wires are optional, the chip always works with 13 threads for basic functionality.
More info will be available on the next days., the firmware will be available on January 21st.

2- ARGON FIRMWARE 1.2 ONLINE: ARGON 1.2 is downloadable online, it fixes 2 common issues, the freezing found on some games and the reset of the optical system when it boots. Firmware available HERE: http://www.infectus.biz/downloads/argon_update12.dat

I'm installing my Argon tomorrow...So could you please give the location of the 3 additional wires?
I don't have an Injectus yet to program the Argon, so if I go ahead and connect the xtra 3 wires (to keep from opening the wii again)  would it work as normal?

Damn..... jtag reset is lost.  I've to check the image but they release it before my ok.

I'll advise the 'designer' to add it quickly.

Hi Infectus,

Can you please please put the extra 3 wires diagram for the argon in downloads. I am sending my wii away on Monday and want this done now so I don't have to send it away again.
Have a heart for all the customers who have already purchased this chip as I have to buy a programmer now as well.

I am going to "donate" one or maybe a couple of injectus programmers that Argon owners in my country (sweden) can borrow for 1-3 days. When one Argon owner is done with the update he must send it to the next person who needs it. We have done this before with wii screwdrivers. One forum thread is used to keep track of who has the item and the list of people wanting it next. Maybe this can be done in other countries aswell.

Can i use the Infectus v1 with this diagram and then only use DUAL firmware ?

If not, can you upgrade programmer so it it works ?

Think many allready made (read /write) install whith the Infectus v1, a bit sad if they have to bye new Infectus.

Psycho007: Infectus 1 = Infectus 2 . The firmwares are identical. The different things are leds and switch. If you wanna have the identical functions, you need to solder some led and add a switch.  Otherwise, flash the firmware in your infectus on bank0.

Why you need alternative points on the back, if the original 4 points in the front are so easy to solder?
