The developers insist that the problem is in midia or the laser, the same console I tried to d2ckey and worked perfectly

I'm sure they understand now that's not media/laser related, and will bring to we a great update BEFORE argon release ( just had to remove patching DVD chipset when disc loading... easy !! )

unless, the argon will sign the end of infectus team ( refund all resellers because of deffective chips... GLUPS ! ).....

We are trying to find the problem.

To help us, can you solder your gnd like our installation ?

Look... top left and bottom right of infectus pcb.  We solder the pads directly on the metal.

Can you try in this way ?? We need to understand if is a problem of gnd or other

KAISER TECHNOLOGIE: you are a little drammatic...

ARGON situation,

right now all the test made on ARGON don't show the problem reported on WIIKTUS FIRMWARE... we have in our laboratory 4 wii D2C (1 JAP, 1 US, 2 PAL) under testing, 8 hours per day with differents games that work on them...

We don't know right now the real problems of the INFECTUS2 WIIKTUS application, but ARGON is PERFECT... but with your BETA TESTING (because remember that WIIKTUS is in BETA) we are trying to find the solution.
Probably can be an electrical problem of INFECTUS2 PCB that need some fix.. on argon that is more simple PCB we don't report same problems..

I tell this because we test very well ARGON under stress for many days before release it... anyway, REMEMBER THAT ARGON IS UPDATABLE, so if we discovery any problem in the future can be FIXED, not like D2CKEY that all will be FUCKED!

In few days picture of new INFECTUS JTAG PROGRAMMER will be posted, will arrive in the market first 10 days of jan, STREET PRICE will be 15 eur, very cheaper

Don't worry all INFECTUS PROJECTS are studied to be 100% versatile and ready to support the evolution of the SCENE EVER!!!

Since the letters are different on the ARGON PCB I have went ahead and mapped out the ALT INSTALL to be used with Argon. Remember this is for the Argon and not the Infectus! using these points with the Infectus may cause problems!!

That's great! This will save lots of time for the install. Can't wait to do the first install!

When soldering to the bottom of the board one needs to remove the lacker first? Just wondering since it seems allot easier to solder then to each leg of the chip (they are so close to each other).

I just tried a lenline brush for my first time for laquer removal. Wow it is a great tool. Anyone that has never tried one owes it to themself to get one if they think they are a serious installer. It will make the alt point install as easy as pie.
Thats a great alt install pic here too!

Great tip for the fibreglass brush, just ordered one (and some refills) and works a treat

So, the picture (alt install pic) that is up here (argonaltxz4.jpg) is confirmed ? 3.3v and GND points verified ? All letters in place    Great, thank you very much (all of the contributors )
