Try asking to Oscar if he has some one of these components.  If you wanna find it on the web, try on  rs-components , farnell or digikey .

Just a little curiosity... what's append to break the regulator?

Just updated 7 Argons tonight with 1.3.

All PASSed, so no worries.

However, what I did notice was that the blue led on the Argon is rather erratic (if that's the good word for it).

What I mean is that when I plug the Infectus 1 (with the argon wired to it) in my usb port, sometimes the blue led comes on and sometimes it doesn't (varies per flashed Argon). Once it starts to program/check it is blue, that's the only constant factor with all the Argons I flashed tonight. Once it is done, sometimes the led is bright blue and sometimes it is off. As I said above, all flashes went well (verify : PASS).

Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on this behaviour

I kinda agree with Wimper.  You can't sell something to someone with a promise of what it will do, and then tell them after they buy it "well it won't really work cause you ALSO need to buy this other part that is not out quite yet".  Chips plus programmer plus shipping.  It all adds up.  The chip should of been delayed and everything sold together once all the kinks were ironed out.  I bough the chip and then 2 days later I read that it don't work and that I need the programmer to make it work.  So then I had to buy the programmer and that's another 22 plus another 10 shipping.

Now I understand what krayziexploiter says about having to deal with mod chips and that they don't always work perfect and there are expected problems, but we were not dupped by ourselves or our dealers.  We were dupped by Infectus coming up with the following marketing campaign weeks before the chip was even shipping that said the following:

Works on all Wii D2C boards
Only 13 wire connection
100% Upgradebale Onboard JTAG connector
ACTEL processor Extreem Stability
Direct Boot for Wii games
Direct boot for GC games
Multiple disc support
Support audio streaming of GC Games
Region Unlock works on 80% of games
Made by Team Infectus "Quality

And they SOLD a CHIP with the above terms.  Not sure where the confusion is that there is NO misreprensentation. Nor do I see that "some things were presented misleading". ALL of it was presented misleading.  Unfortunately, IT DOES NONE OF THE ABOVE if you bought it on day 1 as advertised.

The definition of fraud is:
A false representation of a matter of fact—whether by words or by conduct, by false or misleading allegations, or by concealment of what should have been disclosed—that deceives and is intended to deceive another so that the individual will act upon it to her or his legal injury.

Look, I don't have anything against the Infectus team.  And I don't expect anything from them.  Just please don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining.  I spent upwards of $100 so far and STILL have nothing to show for is (since the programmer to make it work was released 10 days later) I am still waiting for that.

I think it's time to drop the faud discussion. Yes there were start problems, yes some things could have explained better. You may or may not agree with their strategy but fact is they have worked hard to fix the problems and satisfy the cutomers. There were 2 updates within one week. Why don't give them some credit for it. The stuff they release looks solid and there is some actual interaction with developers so they know what's up.
If you wanna talk about fraud just look at the countless ads on your tv or newspaper. Or more ironically people that put devices in their gameconsole so they don't have to pay for other peoples hard work.

Fair enough krayziexploiter.  Like I said I am not looking to make a huge deal about it.  But please don't sit there and act like everything is fine because they are working on the issues at hand.  Bottom line is, the product should of been fully tested and working BEFORE it went out the door.  It was not.  I work in QA and know what it means to release a quality product.  I could understand if they released it and it worked great for a month and then a game came out that did not work and they then released a fix to that.  This was not the case.  They released a non working product and sold it as a fully tested and operational product.  It was just not ready IMO and should of been delayed a month until at least the programmer was ready.

Imagine you bought a car with the assumption that it would start with the key that they give you.  They deliver it. You try to start it and it don't work because the key that came with it needs to be programed to turn it on and that will cost you another $500.  Not to mention, the thing to program it won't be ready for 2 more weeks.  Same thing.

Again, I don't really care much.  I got no right to complain about fraud as you are right.  I am going to use the chip to commit fraud myself.  It's just the principle of the thing.  That's it.  It's business ethics.

Surely you must agree with that?

I'm just a little bit surprise if you work in QA. You should know very well what append when start the distribution of a product. You can do all the possibles test , but when you are ready and release it, the bugs coming so fast.

For examples the cars problem..... all the company make all the test before sell a car, but every time the problems coming after. Remember some year ago Mercedes "class a" ?  What append? They sell and later found a big problem. So they need to fix it.

Other... if you know what's iso is, you know very well it's not a good thing for the quality. They ensure only the perfect production, so if you have a problem, all the pieces of your production has the same problem.

About the first Argon release.... the problem is found only after the distribution and not before!!
