Tonight I flashed some of the Argons through an Infectus with fw 1.2.
No problems there and all flashed like a charm.
After flashing I installed a Argon in a D2C and booted up some games. My first impression is very (VERY) good.
- MUCH quicker disc detection (no drive resets, so no more 'clicks')
- Games booted much faster and flawless
- And all the Freezes/Crashes have gone!
Good work Team Infectus! Keep it up!
Can't wait to get the Injectus to be able to ship them to my customers

That's great news. Can you try a couple GameCube backups?

GUYS!!! ALL SAW WHAT HAPPENED WITH D2CKEY, first batch didn't work on a G2C D1A... this I think is more IMPORTANT BUG than some RARE freeze on some games...
All saw that many users fix already the problem with a simple trick, switch to 50Hz the video output setting of WII.
Anyway our project was tested and here worked, all asked stocks for christmas and we didn't find time to do a large BETA TESTING...
Anyway our project is UPDATABLE so you EVER will be sure that NOT ONLY NOW but in the FUTURE if something came out you are COVERED from our DEVELOPE TEAM and HIS FIRMWARE RELEASES...
Who is fucked is who belive in a D2CKEY project, PAY A LOT LIKE ARGON AND I will be very HAPPY when in the future a MARIO GALAXY 2 CAME OUT WITH A NEW COPY PROTECTION...
So pls. I hope that all understand that ARGON is more than a normal modchip, of course now many people need to buy PROGRAMMER, but belive me they will be HAPPY to do that in the future... new IDEAS and FEATURES will be added...
Anyway we are free to refund people that want to send us back the ARGON (of course hardstore direct customers), because I REMEMBER, THE COMPETITOR D2CPRO MODCHIP "CANNOT WORK WITH IMPORTS GAMES!"... so sure we are the FIRST and BEST CHOICE right now in the market...
We sold over 10k ARGON arround world last weeks, and here I see only 3 /4 people that complaints... is normal, but sure are people the "DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT HAVE A GREAT PRODUCT IN THE HANDS"
BYE
Maybe here there are only a few complaints, but I assure you, there are more, look in other forums, you will find lots, and there's ppl like me who install 3 chips, and all 3 customers complain, when my own d2ckey works no problem. Now I need to get all 3 systems back, add 3 wires, and apply update, and tell customers they have to wait (b4 I get injectus and fw v1.3) to use the mod.
If you needed to do more testing, you should have delayed release. Customers/installers only want immediate results, not just promises of future fixes/functionality after a problem is found. I suggest your chip to customers to save time and money installing because you advertise everything is working with 13 wires, then I spent many hours debugging any possible install problem, only to find the chip doesn't do what was advertised, when I could have installed d2ckey in less time and know it works. I have now stopped installing and recommending your chips until I see everything is fixed.
It's like If I made a blank PCB with some cheap parts on it and called it a 6-wire d2c mod chip I could probably sell >10k units also, then in few months when I actually develop something that works, tell everyone they have to buy a new 100-pin IC and solder themself, makes NO SENSE. All those 10k chips that you sold now needs upgrade to work properly, means everyone has to buy a programmer. When I originally ordered chips it said updateable through jtag, but did not mention anywhere you needed to buy extra hardware to apply update.
AND STILL NO ANSWER IF GAMECUBE PROBLEM FIXED?!?!
Does gamecube games work on new argon firmware or not??!!??
PLEASE CAN SOMEONE CONFIRM!

I tested a PAL Wii with a Argon (firmware 1.2) with some GC games of different regions but no boot... So still no-go on GC games
Let's see what fw=1.3 will bring us....

Hi Oscar,
I dropped $80 on this modchip, and a fair chunk of free time troubleshooting this defective product.
I'm completely annoyed that my only recourse is to drop another $25 + shipping and taxes on a programmer which may or may not provide the functionality I originally paid for.
The supplier in Canada I bought from will not give me a refund, instore credit only, less shipping and a restocking fee. Considering I am being completely ignored in all support requests now, I am reluctant to give them future business. They will reflash my Argon for "free," provided I pay for shipping both ways.
So, what am I supposed to do, keep throwing good money after bad and hope to god I get a working modchip eventually, or eat the $80 loss and tell everyone I know how I got ripped off by your reseller and Infectus?
If I do buy the programmer, I'm sure it will come in an anti static bag without any software or documentation on how to use it, just like the modchip. So, I'll be forced to figure it out by guess or by golly, and pray to god the instructions I find here or elsewhere are right, and don't suddenly change part way through, require more wires, a second programmer to program the first programmer, etc...
Someone replied to me in the old (deleted) thread saying hacking isn't for everyone.
I say to them, hardware hacking built on a premise of lies isn't hacking, it's fraud.
Infectus, I regret my purchase. Can you please do something to make this right through your resellers? If I could buy the programmer at a reduced cost, I would accept this gesture as a sign that you at least care about your early adopters enough to cut them a deal.
Comparing the Argon to any other product is kind of pointless, unless your competitors treat their customers better than you do.
Doing nothing in the short term may be easier in the beginning, but not in the long run.

If you actually was expecting a 100% working chip you were misinformed by your direct reseller or you misinformed yourself. I agree some things were presented misleading but buying a new product (especially a modchip) always involves a certain risk. If you wouldn't want to take that risk you should have waited and read reviews first or buy a competitor product that's been around longer and allready had the time to solve their problems. Luckily for you things are fixable. Demanding discounts on a public forum won't do you any good. I say stop whining and next time think before you act.

Restart the program. Otherwise check the connections.

These 2 are probably installed already right? well you need to power up the Wii and then program the Argon(s).
I had the same problem yesterday, Oscar sent me the solution and then they just program fine.

The problem its regulator for 1.5V coded LCHA.
Dont output on pin 5 1.5V. I make change with other one from one good Argon and work.
This regulator is LP2985LV (find datasheet and can see diagram).
Now I must see from where i can buy this regulator
