when loading tha .dat for programming give me this error is it normal?
IDCODE = 0000

STAPL_IDCODE = 29121cf

The IDCODE of the target device does not match the STAPL file.

even with this i programmed the chip al 100%, then i instaled the chip, in the end i confirmed all with multimeter and all ok, when i connect the wii drive completely dead, i disconnect the chip and drive alive again, what could this be, i have instaled over 200 consoles ps2 wiis etc and never have problems, so i don´t know i will try again to see what happens.

Usually the warning is present.  Look the progress bar. If it continue , is not a problem.

Real image:

I have installed the chip same way as in this picture, but i cannot close the wii casing. The usb connector is touching some black plastic.

Can you tell me where i can put infectus chip so that the wii can be closed after chip installation?

Sorry, we put infectus in this way because don't need to close the console

To close it, rotate the chip of 180° and move it near the main board (move right).

Ok so here is my test result !

I loaded 2 games burned on DVD-R verbatim @ 4x speed using Nero 6 software and Pioneer 112D DVD burner

- Metroid prime 3 corruption
- Mario Striker Charged football

Wii D2C + Infectus v1 ( with new d2c.dat firmware )

note : The two games works flawessly with 7 other Wii modded with Yaosm 2.0, Wiikey, and Wiinja v2

Metroid prime 3 works ok ( at least level 1 )

Mario striker freez the Wii MANY times ( always on ramdomly LOADING page ), needing turning OFF and ON the Wii ( note that RESET button is disable but loading screen annimation runing fine, as the Wiimote )

Hey guys, I think your chip doesn't stop patching drive when game's loaded, please correct it

To be sure that the problem is the chip and not the laser or media or laser + media, can you try to install one of your  wiikey or wiinja or yaosm?

Same laser and mainboard but Replaced D2C DVD board + infectus with D2B DVD board + Yaosm 2.0

result :

Metroid prime 3 = OK 100%
Mario striker = OK 100%

Verbatim DVD-R worked flawessly with ALL Wii we modified this year using à lot of different chip, there is absolutly no compatibility issue

The Infectus firmware IS the problem, it simply try to patch the game when loading, not a big bug, but need to be corrected before Argon release

that said, keep in the good works, it's really impressive to do the same things 31 wires mod do using only 13

ps : insinuate my copys are not legit is very disrepectful, do you want a shot showing you orig + backup ?
