I tested this on a A3P060 and here are the results.

1.  I have problem with the infectus2 to inject the code.  Sometimes it takes 40sec, sometimes few seconds, sometimes never.  I tried shortening the U wire as small as possible plus I tired 24AGW wire and experienced no difference.  Sometimes I have to power off many times for it to sync back up.

2.  When it does inject the code and working everything works but the Drive access sounds different then wiktus firmware.  It sounds like the head moves faster thus making more noise.  So far this has not been a problem but is noticeable when a movie is playing.

3.  There should be a way to run the wabaus firmware without the programmer connected.  Is it possible to jumper some pins on the infectus2 to bypass this?

As posted (i think in this thread, but definitely in the older Wiiktus thread), I and G control region patching. For USA Wiis, bring both I and G to ground.

For other Wiis:
Both to gnd = USA
I to GND  = JP
I and G open ( no solder ) = PAL   (default)

Are you working on a fix to this firmware, so it will work on most console ?

4 in a row not working, 2 different Infectus2, brand new install every time, but no go at all.

Drive is 100% dead don't take DVD, connect it to PC via USB and the drive will take the disk but wont boot it.

Last serial is LEH1755

As it looks now this is not worth using time on, save you're time and go for wiiktus right a way.
