They never claimed it didn't work. They said there wasn't a programmer out for it yet. As of the time they posted this there wasn't 1 out. As far as I know 1 isn't supposed to be released yet till end of this month or next.

The Wiikey/D2CKey/D2Pro team pretty much gave up on the Wiikey (having another site host past updates isn't support) and will probably do the same for D2Ckey. So I wouldn't trust D2Pro either.

So don't be fooled by D2Pro it isn't worth the risk. Buy a Infectus/Argon.

Who the hell cares abut a ps2 chip. Is anyone still even using that crap. That wouldn't be big news it would be a big waste of time.
And about the d2prog. I hope they are finally gonna release a fix for them bugged pre release d2ckey chips I still have here. They might as well let me convert them to d2pro chips.

I saw on the site that it said the D2CKey can be updated with the soon to be released prog. Is there even a slot to connect a prog to the D2CKey using a Flat Cable?

It said any chip without a flat cable slot can be manually soldered onto the programmer to be flashed. It's supposedly also JTAG based, so I wonder if it'll be able to program an Argon or if the Injectus could program the D2Pro. There might be encryption keys involved though.

PS: D2PRO sellers, what do you think about a PS3 firrmware on ARGON??? will be nice to see all WII ARGON DISTRIBUTORS UPDATE THEIR ARGON STOCK AND SELL THEM LIKE A FIRST "DRIVER MOD" FOR PS3...hahah but this is another story... probably a bullshit, probably not... only we have this information and I can only tell that many "shock" news will arrive sooon... veryy sooonn.

I asked about this twice, because even if it is hinted in this post, it was CONFIRMED in the Wasabi thread that a PS3 DAT file was on development for Argon/Infectus to become a drive-mod for the PS3. I had no response at all to my questions about it, and another Moderator told a couple of days ago in a PS3 thread that PS3 wasn't going to recieve a modchip in the near or middle-future. The console is "untouchable". So... I suppose all the PS3 stuff that OscarHS hinted (and confirmed) was just to build up hype or something like that.
It was weird anyway, becaus PS3's HyperVisor also controls and encrypts the data from the BR-Drive, so if HyperVisor was "disabled" to modify the BR-Drive, it means that the whole system could be hacked, and not just the BR-Drive.

no console is untouchable. Also for a drive mod you don't need to exploit any hypervisor. The most simplest thing to start with use by on the fly patching of the disc autorisating calls so that would probably be the first mod to see just like the xbox 360 and the wii.
Also I wouldn't think team infectus would made up such things just to hype their products. If it turns out false I'm sure they would understand it would undermine their credibility big time.

The problem here is that EVERYTHING outside the Cell is crypted, including the BluRay drive calls. Also, we don't have any information about how the drive works or how is its firmware.
It's not the same as 360 and Wii, because those are DVD-Drives (less security and how they work is well known) and on PS3 we have a BR-Drive, with much more security, without knowledge of its firmware, where everything it does is crypted, completely controlled by the HyperVisor, and we don't even know 100% how to make a backup of a PS3 game. (it's not clear yet if the "swiss army knife" backups will ever be bootable or not becuase we don't know 100% sure if the backups are well done)

That is the reason why I doubt about the credibility of the "PS3 firmware for Argon on development" quote that was hinted and confirmed by OscarHS... Well, they might be trying, but they can be at 0% right now, and that's what I think when another admin said that something like that will be months or years away. That's why I ssaid all regarding PS3 is to create hype or to make us "stay" with Argon (I still stay for the Wii anyway)
