When I said to unplug the Wii when doing an update I meant to unplug it when connecting the programmer to the Flat Cable. This will protect from a possible short during the connection of the programmer. Once you have the programmer connected to the Flat Cable then plug the Wii in and turn it on. Then connect programmer to PC via USB.
I am sure allot of users do not practice this but there has been a few threads on other forums that state that they shorted the programmer/Modchip when connecting the programmer to Flat Cable.
@Wimper
Have you tried unplugging the Wii and taking out the battery as well for a while. Then insert the battery and see if the Wii will come on then?
I was thinking about keeping the Injectus attached ribbon cable, then double sticky sided tape mount it to back of my wii, so you don't recommend keeping it attached?
