I only have 30 awg kynar wire.  Is it necessary to use two wires for the ground and +3.3v points?  Or is larger gauge wire recommended for those two points?

larger is better, the two wires together are just used instead of a thicker wire.

If you are worried about the thicker gauge wire just go to radio shack.  it is cheap.

....the most chips dont work so good in the WII PAL ( german ) consoles.

not one NTSC game is working.  DO i have to solder a Jumper on the chip ?
or do i have to patch the chip with something ?
team infectus writes : Partial Regional Patch ( work on 80% or games )
i cant confirm that. from 10 Different games NTSC is not even one working.

from 25 Installed Argon chips in NEW WII CONSOLES = 9 are not working good.
They do accept the BACKUP only if you insert it a few Times into the Wii.
Some consoles work. and if you keep them running some minutes the freeze.

Are you Sure the ARGON CHIP is 100% ok ?

I think the message from Delaware calls for an answer.
Can it be that nore than 1/3 of the ARGONs is defective?

Because it's post is on 10/01 . In this time we have released other fw to fix the problems.

About the defective, NO!! Like in every productions is possible to have few pieces failed ( actually < 1% ) . I think he has problem with its installations.

I've installed Infectus2 with Wiiktus 1.3 today. I use the "miss a leg" diagram for it and works fine. It was D2C/1DA.

Tomorrow I will install another one like this and I'll write you again.

Cya.

Hi i am from germany.
I received today my first Argon chips
the installation its very easy ( D2C key is hard )
but the most chips dont work so good in the WII PAL ( german ) consoles.

not one NTSC game is working.  DO i have to solder a Jumper on the chip ?
or do i have to patch the chip with something ?

EDIT : I found in this Forum, that Argon cant play NTSC Games on Pal consoles.
This is very Bad. We have to remove the chip out of our Online shop then.
Its impossible to Sell the chip in Germany if he doenst boot NTSC games.
I hope infectus team is this going to fix in the NEXT furture.
because if not. we wound install any Argon chips and install only D2C KEYS !!!

Hey. I just registered to this forum so I could reply to this...
I am American living in Germany. I bought a German Wii (PAL) with the D2C chip. I installed the argon chip using the above diagram and it works 100%. Awsome ****ing product. Very happy with the chip and programmer combo. Anyone thinking about using the above diagram i would suggest to do so cause the orginal diagram was real real tight and first time I tried it, it was a no go. Second time around I used this diagram and I was very happy when I poped a NTSC backup in and it worked! Keep up the good work Infectus!
