after one week there is here again a new FIRMWARE for ARGON SPI (without oscillator)... this time the team did a GREAT WORKS and finally we can say that we are near perfection!
Do you know... developers are crazy and when something is "hard to do" they want to reach target for a "personal" fight ...

ALL WITHOUT OSCILLATOR!!! UNBELIVABLE!!

We worked hard last days to fix the ARGON SPI code, now let's see the results...

WE CAN FINALLY CALL "ARGON SPI" A GOOD MODCHIP FOR D2C2??? Let's see if is real or not ...
Sure now we can wait for ARGON2 with a better situation to all old ARGON's users.

Works perfect now. I cannot get the drive to lock & loads up very quick, well done. Now get on with D2E 

I only brought 10 Pro's so who ever cracks D2E first with a JTAG update I will buy my next batch.

I installed 1 in Serial LEH 169xxxx

its D2c normal version.. Doesnt work.  Blue LED Doesnt Flash !!!

what is now Better on that bios ??

is it correct that BIOS is named :

wasabus-argon-D2C-D2C2-a3p250-beta3.3

and the other one :

ARGON-D2C-D2C2-1.5

why 1.5 ?? did you put the wrong SPI flash in the RAR file


EDIT : I did flash the 1.1 BIOS on the installed chip. i did not change any thing..
LED turns now on and WII WORKS !!
I keep on saying : bios 1.1 final for old D2C boards was the best.
Stop releasing BETAS & BETAS which dont work and stop wasting my TIME !!
I will not test any BETA or final bios again from ARGON team.. The only working BIOS is the Final 1.1 Bios. ( not for d2c2 Boards )
Its not a matter of the installation because i do install evey day 20 - 40 D2pro chips. and every one works. So dont try to say its the installation..

I will wait until Argon 2 is released.. i will buy 100 for testing and then lets see if the are worth buy it.

Deltaware you’re such a prick. All your posts are the same crap. Nothing you write is constructive. If 1.1 works fine then why test the BETA and then complain its beta. It’s a beta and WILL have bugs that’s what the word beta means. If you don’t like it then P***off I’m tired of reading your crap.

Nice release Team Infectus.  I must say that this is the best release yet.

I've a Jap D2C2 that won't take a D2Pro.  I've tried the earthing and shortening of the clk wire, etc but I still get erratic eject issues and random lock ups (1 in 5 ejects!).

I've just used the same wires and chucked in the Argon 3.3 beta and my first impressions are great!

Finally you guys have used some of your initiative to improve on the D2Pro code.. my hat's off to you!

My results are as follows:
-disk eject issue seems to be almost fixed completely.  Console locked up the once (couldn't re-inset the disk) in 40 pushes!
-time before spin up varied from a few seconds to 23 seconds and on 3 occassions the drive did not spin up at all (waited a couple of minutes).
-The only jap game I have booted the first time but I've not been able to get it to play since (it still starts up but it unrecognisable).  I've put this down to the fact that it's been lying around and fairly scratched up.. must have been a fluke to get it to boot initially... lol.

Guess that the only improvement required before adding a crystal and releasing Argon 2 would be to bring the boot up sequence down to a few seconds on every insert.

I've D2Pros to get me through as do most people but I'd really like to use the Argon once again on a regular basis....   time's a ticking.

All the works did with D2C2 and ARGON SPI is now a SOLID ROCK CODE that can support all comming drivers, like D2E...

I mean that now with this "core" for us is very very easy to implement the support of D2E (one board is in arrival)...
And finally with the ARGON2 with oscillator our code will be super perfect

Well, I think that OLD ARGON USERS will not need anymore an OSCILLATOR ADD ON!

If all works great tomorrow we put this revision like FINAL 2.0 and we can concentrate the team on new features of ARGON2

Ok  here my results . !!!

I have a LEH1951***** D2C2  that completely  won't start with final release 1.5
Drive is dead and stays dead  .Put clk wire different, shorter, shielded , alternative installation . But drive won't start .
I worked on it for hours 

I installed the new firmware beta 3.3  reset the wii after it ,and the drive worked 
an amazing discovery (lol) .

Still drive is locked 1 in 10 times  when changing disks . Can't eject disk have to put wii off and on again and it works again .

Disk is spinning up faster after inserting it .
But sometimes stays dead after inserting . 1 out of 15  times

I am trying other wii 's today and let you know my results later today.

It is a realy big improvement  !!!!!

don't work for me... upgrade a working wii with 1.5 final, and load only original disc (with backup i have message "impossibile leggere disco"). i downgrade to final 1.5 and it return to load backup without problems.
