lol yup, monday the 7th of july ^^ lol
i think they have done the most difficult part => they could boot a backup game on the news D2C2/3 Board. But the beta testers have certainly found new bugg (game freeze, disc eject, black screen, and things like that).

So, by counting 1/2 week for beta test and at the beginning of the working code, we could speculize on a release date around the 16th and the 22th of june 2008, wich is the most probably release date than OSCAR would say ^^ it seems that he's very enthusiastic and want the firmware to be release, but in the real fact, it couldn't be release before the 16th june 2008 => because of the issues to fix with the new firmware.

Be patient, when it'll release, it'll be the best firmware ever, stable and bug free (not as the D2Pro one).

Cheers and kingest regards,
Infectus team, do your best !

you can all rest assured that the D2C2 firmware is currently in the beta testing stage.  The firmware (for us) has worked on all D2C2 boards so far and works very well.

whilst there are a small number of bugs - and we are onto beta3 - it is getting to be very solid

we are all in beta testing stages, but I can assure you this does not put any beta testers in a better position than anybody else.  in this stage we are not giving D2C2 chips to any customers or flashing any drives for it

Nice to hear some reports from an actual tester

Any insight on whether the firmware will be released (maybe with a warning ? ) for us (some of us) to download/test today ? I have a lot of D2C2 Wii's here at the moment which I will happily mod and let run for a couple of hours.

hi there, i understand this beta testing lark, but the d2pro v2 works well apart from a minor hiccup.....

if it works better than the d2pro , then why not release it, and give us all a firmware update in a month or so.....

the way i see it, d2pro are cornering the market at the mo......if and a big if ,is if d2pro bring out a update for there bug then this will completely take the market unless infectus release a working chip soon.....

me like many others just want chips that work, not one that can be reprogrammed to make coffee....

does this new firmware work with smash bros.??

how about telling us what doesnt work with the firmware.?? sure enough as well is if there were more testers then faults would be found quicker.....

Well.. yes and no. I can understand why they are limiting the number of betatesters. They want to exclude reports that are due to faulty installations. If I googled correctly quantronics is an australian professional. If they were just to release the firmware too early this would cloud the actual bugs in the firmware and this would distract them from the bugs that are not induced by faulty installations.

Hope my point is clear

(this doesn't mean I don't want the firmware to be released today of course )

Good news guys...latest beta is now released

Now works on all D2C boards, not just D2C2 that we had originally been given
