On a 1.8 chip update with the final one, I can't use the SPI erase as it is found as unkown. Two chips have this problem....
KK, reflashed the chips (both the original 1.8 one that was flashed to the final 9 wires first and the beta flashed that worked with SPI erase/write and didn't work with the final 9 wires in SPI erase/write) and with the beta the programmer sees the chip as PMC Pm25LV020, but when flashing it to the final, it doesn't recognise it (UNKOWN(0000)). When I flash the beta in again, it gets recognised as the PMC again, but after flashing it with th final again: still unkown. This is with two chips both factory equipped with SPI and the 250.
same problem for me, also my argon are with A3P250

Not with the beta though, so with the final it is needed? Pls confirm there is a difference.

INFECTUS TEAM - ARGON SPI - 9 WIRES FIRMWARE 1.0
IMPORTANT NOTE: The firmware WASABUS can be installed in ARGONSPI only if is FIRST installed on WII and during the upgrade process the WII is turned ON. This issue will be fixed in the next release to allow users to program ARGON SPI stand alone.
In this ZIP fill you will find these things:
1- INFECTUS PROGRAMMER, beta version to manage correctly ARGON SPI update 2- wasabus_argon.bin, this is the firwmare that is necessary to flash inside the SPI flash of ARGON 3- wasabus_a125argon.dat / wasabus_a250argon.dat, these are the new ACTEL firmware to support 9 wires installation
Please read "PROCEDURE TO PROGRAM ARGON SPI.DOC" for update your argon correctly to 9 wires.
WASABUS debug LEDS:
The LED on the ARGON will show you if modchip is correctly working or not, is very simple
LED OFF = Don't works LED ON = Code injection procedure is complete
REGIONAL SETUP: Current firmware is setup by default like PAL.
To setup the other region just shortcut the pads W and R in this way:
Both to GND = modchip OFF W to GND = JAP R to GND = USA
Note: injectus don't works anymore in this version like configurator with switches and leds, for a problem develope. We are working on that. If there are problems with modchip we suggest to don't connect injectus when modchip is working in the console.
KNOW ISSUES: 1- In few consoles we saw a deleay to recognize a new disk inserted, like 4/10 seconds before the disk spin... is it normal. we are working to fix this little problem 2- Upgrade process works only with ARGON SPI is installed and WII turned ON
------ THANX FOR ALL INFECTUS TEAM

I know you are quite precise, but even though I am gonna ask did you erase/write the SPI? Without errors? thanks!

yup. Got an error one time but that one was after I disconnected the usb cable and reconnected. the flash was then not recognized. aftyer reflashing the .dat exiting the programmer and restarting it it was recognized and the flash erased and wrote good.
Tried it on 4 125 chips so far

Take your time fix bugs then release. Why don't you take a small group of like 25 people as beta test team before release?
