Using UPS I havnt had any troubles also. Using quick pack I never seem to get the TAX FREE they speak of (guess dutch customs are not dumb and understand san marino is not part of EU). Never used modchip.it. Their prices are insane compared to hardstore.
Maybe next time I order from Asia directly. Should be cheaper.

Sure when ordering only a couple of pieces Modchip.it is more conviently. I usually order between 10 and 50 pcs at a time as a small time installer.

At the moment the only one supported is PM25LV020.
I have some samples of two similar Flash from this manufacturer:
PM25LV020-33SCE (33 MHz version, not 100 MHz)
PM25LV10A-100SCE (100 MHz but only 128 MB)
Do we need 100 MHz SPI Flash or 33 MHz is enough ?
Do we need 256 MB or 128 MB is enough ?
Thanks

The flash necessary is a 2Mbit flash part no. PM25LV020--100SCE.
100MHz!

My question is for the wasabu designer.
What is the frequency of the SPI mapped into the FPGA ?
i.e. does 33 MHz SPI Flash is enough or do really need full 100 MHz Flash ?
I will buy 100 MHz SPI Flash for replacement (if required by some futur firmware), but with current Wasabu firmware can I use 33 MHz SPI Flash ?

If you are looking for a compatible flash memory, take a look about:

- pin out   ( pin to pin compatible with pm25lvxxx )
- voltage  ( same voltage )
- speed    (  >=33mhz   )
- size       ( >=64k )
- same commands (fast read especially)

Remember, the programmer, can work only with pm25lvxxx (at the moment).  In few words, is needed an external programmer to write the flash, until i haven't add the new memory manager.

ps: don't ask to me if this or that memory can work. I said what is needed to check. I'll add the new memory if you find a working flash good for many person.

If i program the .bin file to this flash:
http://www.sst.com/downloads/datasheet/S71242.pdf

externally and then solder it onto the Argon will the 9 wire work?
