Is your display settings on 50HZ ? If so try changing to 60HZ and see if it fixes the problem for Smash Bros.

This might sound crazy but I was having the same problem, it was also with SMG. The thing was is that I could have sworn that when I tested there was no choppy video. I relized the only difference was that I tested without the Flat cable installed. To cut it short I removed the flat cable,(it made no difference if the programmer was connected) and the video cleared up. I then verified the same thing on 2 more consoles I was installing Argons on. I've gat a Pioneer 212d burner and Verbatim -R DVD's. I even removed the cable while watching the video and it cleared up instantly. I've got a thread started on this in the technical forum.

Thanks for that input, hopefully a fix will come soon, since having the flatcable connected is 'nice', to say the least :-)

Is there really NO way, to get my NGC-Games on Mini-DVD-R to run on my Argon :/?
That's kind of sad.

Currently no... Hopefully that will be fixed in 1.9 or 2.0 or whatever the next firmware will be. Unfortunately, Infectus and Oscar haven't been around on these forums much in the past week. Maybe they're hard at work on the new firmwares .

I have an Argon Chip. The chip was one of the original chips sent with the 1.0 firmware.
I have updated to 1.6 and have had no problems with my backups.

I tried the 1.8 and none of the previously working backups worked anymore. Moved back to 1.6 and they all work again.

If it is a chip shipped before Jan 15th what version of the chip do I have 125 or 250?

I am burning on good media with a good burner. I got my copy of SSBB to backup and it will show up in the Wii menu but not play. Now today my new Ninja Reflex game wouldn't play. I want to fix this...any suggestions? As I buy games...I don't want my niece and nephew to scratch the originals.....they come over every weekend.

I rip on a GDR8162b C2Duo running XP
Burn on a Mac 10.4.11 with a Samsung SH-S182M (updated Firmware to Dual layer)
I use Taiyo Yuden Printable DVD-R 16X Professional DVD's burnt at 6X
I use Taiyo Yuden Printable Dual Layer Professionals DVD's burnt a 2x
