I installed V1.0 and it was terrible. Not even worth calling a chip.
I updated to 1.2 - mildly better but still far from impressive..

Come back to check on developement and see 90% issues resolved, abet another 5 builds. I have to say I am impressed with this development, especially how quickly the wiiktus port was made from 1.7 argon. Keep up the great development.

What was the problem with 1.2, if you don't mind me asking? I had 1.2 on my Infectus for about a month with zero issues (besides the obviously GameCube issue).

Metrioid Prime 2 - Works
Resident Evil Zero - Works
Viewtiful Joe 2 - Works
Paper Mario (3GB padded) - Works
Zelda: Wind Waker - Works
Super Mario Sunshine - Works
Super Mario Baseball - Works

NTSC Games off GCOS disc:

Kirby Air Ride - Works
Mario Kart Double Dash - Green Screen at autodetect or NTSC
            - No video (but there is audio) with 480p and PAL
            - Scrambled Green screen on PAL60
-- Could be a bad image, will retest later with a fresh dump
Super Mario Sunshine - Works
Zelda: Wind Waker - Works
Serious Sam (Requires Audio Patching in GCOS) - Works
Viewtiful Joe 2 - Works
Zelda Four Swords - Works

Retail NTSC Gamecube Games

Super Monkey Ball - Does not work
Zelda Collection - Does not work
Sonic Adventure 2 - Does not Work
Tony Hawk 3 - Does not work
Mario Kart Double Dash - Does not work

Retail NTSC Wii Games

Wii Sports - Does not Work

Backup NTSC Wii Games - All of mine work just fine

Can somebody else test the retail games? Seems very odd that they're not working all of a sudden.

Do you have the programmer still attached when testing?

I know some ARGON users had this issue when the Infectus was attached and backups worked but Originals did not.

Nope, my USB cable is much too big to fit inside when the case is closed

Tested in my PAL Wii, Infectus2 17 wire install.

1.4
- Boots Wii PAL backups
- Boots Wii NTSC backups
- Boots Wii Retail original PAL games.
- Wii Silvers (NTSC) dosen't work. (no logo in Disc channel)

1.7
- Boots Wii PAL backups
- Boots Wii NTSC backups
- Boot some Wii Silvers (NTSC) (30 pcs. tested, 10 pcs. works)
(1/3 works, 1/3 gives black screen after start (50+60hz tested), 1/3 spins up and then stops with no logo in Disc channel.) (30 pcs. tested)
- PAL retail original games DOSEN'T work. (Wii Sports Tested and testet both with and without USB-adapter)

So one step forward and one step back.

Freezing. Horrible horrible freezing. every few hours a freeze. I think 1.4 resolved the freezing for good and 1.8 resolved the game loading issues for 90% of the games..

I am not a huge fan of weekly updates, nor with how convoluted its become since 'argon' chip went seperate with 2 different 'update versions', but was very impressed with the teams devotion to make code that is stable and versitile like advertised. Still advertising this chip with functions that clearly did not work have left bad taste in several mouths. With that said many previous teams went for months without update but the 'main' functions worked.. Infectus team worked continuously with updates frequently expecting feekback to fix the USERS issues. Thats above and beyond any previous commerical chip. Kudos.
