the difference in wires would certainly cut down install times compared to the D2Ckey. what's the footprint of the infectus? just thinking about chip placement.

This is cruel! Please show us a picture or at least some kind of update. I would love to know how many wires are going to be .5mm apart. I was going to buy a D2CKEY and this news has caused me to hold off.

Anyhow i guess you might want to hold off on pictures if you felt by showing them you would be leaking trade secrets to the competition.

Thanks for the update!

Hope testing gets done soon. This chip really seems to have it all, can't wait to put it in my Wii.

Forgive my ignorance, I'm just a simple gamer. Is this a modchip for developers or will it also support back up games (US & Imports) on the wii?

the brickblocker is a PC software, and full region free is impossible with drive mods. a full system hack is required for that.

I too was/am interested in this project but you really are dragging your feet or you posted success a bit too early.

There is now a 2 wire solution for the D2CKey.  They have made an adapter, unitl they incorporate it into one assembly, for their original solution.  You will only have to wire to power and ground with the addition of the FlexPCB adapter.  You will need to solder the adapter to the remaining 29 points but this will be much easier then the original 31 wire job is and most people shouldn't have any problems doing so.

With this in mind 13 wires sounds like it is 11 wires too many.

mr_movie I think u should rethink about the FlexPCB...Imho it just makes the work more difficult but neat and clean...it's not simple to solder all the 29 points on the Pcb, trust me...

Mr Movie dog. Please let us know when you do your first D2CKEY (non upgradable) with the FlexPCB. Like Faenil said it is not that simple. Hats off to D2CKEY for having the first solution but this project is far more interesting to me.

So the news says the ARGON chip is availible for Pre-order.  None of you resellers are offering a pre-order yet. I am just way to impatient?
