Once the software has started select from the Menu > “ACTEL FIRMWARE” then “GLOBE360 V0.1S”:

You should see another window...

ATTENTON: At this point you must switch on the Console and power up the Samsung Drive using the Connectivity kit to allow the correct programming of the Drive

Let's now choose the Firmware Type to program into the Infectus Flash and select "UPDATE" the updating process will star:

If everything has been done properly you should see the following screenshot:

In case of programming error, verify that the console is powered on and the led’s are on during the programming process, and even the soldering points have been correctly soldered. 

Let's now read the Original FW on the Drive. Select "Flash Command\Xbox Flash" from the menu:

Select the "READ".... and you will be requested the file (I suggest ORIG.BIN) then the reading process will initiate:

 

 

 

PREPARATIONE OF THE ORIGINAL FIRMWARE

To proceed we need:

- FW iXtreme 1.5 downloadable at Xbins: Click here

- Software Jungleflasher 2.7 o later inside the ixtreme packet or downloadable on FTP Xbins: Click here

- NET Framework 2.0 software

 

Open and Run the file PORTIO32.EXE in order to install the necessary drivers.

 

Once done, run the JungleFlasher... and Click “Load From Dump File”.  You should see a new widow requesting the files KEY.BIN, INQUIRY.BIN e IDENTIFY.BIN extracted previously from the Liteon Drive.

You will be requested where to save the DUMMY.BIN.

Once saved you should see the following screenshot or something like that:

 

Click “Open Target Firmware” and select the ORIGINALE Firmware from the Samsung Drive:

 

 

Now run the SPOOF clicking on the icon “SPOOF SOURCE TO TARGET” and save it using the menu “SAVE to FILE” (I suggest you save it as ORIG_SPOOF.BIN):

 

 

Perfect! the Original FW is ready to be mounted on the console, which was originally on the LiteOn. We are now ready to proceed with the FW Hack of the Infectus.

PREPARATION TO HACK THE FIRMWARE

Run the Jungleflasher again and click on “Load From Dump File” and insert the files KEY.BIN, INQUIRY.BIN and IDENTIFY.BIN previously extracted from the Liteon Drive.

After inserting and confirmation of the files, you will be asked where to save the file DUMMY.BIN (you can avoid it cause it has been done before)

Once saved you will see the following screen shot:

 

Now Click “Open Target Firmware” select Firmware Hack of the Samsung drive directly from the IXtreme 1.5 Packet:

 

 

Now run the SPOOF clicking on the icon “SPOOF SOURCE TO TARGET” and save it using the menu “SAVE to FILE” (I suggest you save it as ORIG_SPOOF.BIN):

 

 

Perfect! the Original FW is ready to be mounted on the console, which was originally on the LiteOn. We are now ready to proceed with the FW Hack of the Infectus.

PROGRAMMING OF THE NEW DRIVE AND THE INFECTUS CHIP

Run the Infectus Programmer and type "ENABLE"... you will enable the function to read and write from the Original Flash of the drive.

Power the Drive and select "Flash Command\Xbox Flash":

 

Select"ERASE":

Click “YES” to accept the cancellation of the Original Flash:

DO NOT TOUCH THE DRIVE at this point and select "WRITE":

Select the Original FW previously modified:

Confirm by selecting "YES" on the following screen and wait until the end of the process:

We can now write on the Modified Fw Hack...

Select from the menu "Flash Command\Chip Flash":

Click "ERASE":

Click “YES” to accept the cancellation of the Original Flash:

DO NOT TOUCH THE DRIVE at this point and select "WRITE":

E Select the Original FW previously modified:

Leave "Bank 0" selected and click on "SELECT":

Confirm by selecting "YES" on the following screen and wait until the end of the process:

A brief illustration of the switch on the external base of the Infectus 2:
The switch No 1 selects the Bank to Run on the chip (Samsung and Hitachi disable)

The switch No 2 gives you the possibility of using the console as original whenever it is power off.

 

For more information see the following:

 

- Switch 1 on OFF run the FW of the Bank 0 (default setting)
- Switch1 on ON run the FW of the Bank 1 (unable on Samsung and Hitachi)
 

- Switch 2 on OFF Infectus with regular functions, that is the chip is connected when the switch button is pressed

- Switch 2 on ON Infectus COMPLETELY DISABLED

 

I remind you that all modifications to the switch are made with the Console SWITCHED OFF

 

 

We can now start the console and try the new drive with the mounted Infectus 2 Chip.
