To back up our NAND, we must have the console in the following conditions:

- Mini USB cable connected to Chip Infectus but NOT to PC

- Video cable connected to the console (there is no need to connect it to TV)

- Console and PC possibly connected to an uninterruptible power supply

- Power supply connected to the console but not on the wall (because the NAND recives 3,3 volts also in standby)

To proceed :

- Download and install the Programmer (version 0.0.3.9 or higher): CLICK

- Download and install the drivers to recognize the Infectus System on your PC: CLICK

Now we can plug the power supply to the wall than we turn on the 360 and we connect the USB cable to PC, then we start the Programmer of Infectus that will detect the chip mounted, it may happen that we will be prompted to update the chip ... No problem, let the Programmer works, ended the update, we will turn off the console, disconnect the power for about ten seconds and plug back everything.

First we disable the write verification, we will need it later to avoid problems with Bad Block that our Nand could release. We select "Setting" and drop the check of "Write Verify":

Select "Actel Firmware \ Nand Flasher":

A new window will open, return to " Actel Firmware" and click "UPDATE ":

The program will begin to upgrade the Infectus chip in order to make it compatible to reading and writing NAND. At the end of this process unplug the power supply of the console and unplug the USB cable than reconnect everything after 10 seconds.

Select "Flash Commands" and click "READ":

The program will ask where to save the file you are going to create and then it will begin reading:

IMPORTANT:

It's advisable to make several Dump of the NAND and compare them with an Hexadecimal Editor to verify if they are correct.

Ended the process, we will obtain the NAND Backup with extension .bin (sized  16.5MB) :

Perfect, we can now proceed to the next step ... Or begin to downgrade the Dashboard ...
